Journal entry: Facing Up To Change

Stepping out of our comfort zone and into the heat of the fire (so to speak) is not always an easy thing to do. It requires motivation, attention, patience, adaptability and most of all a willingness to be vulnerable and open to change

Making the decision to move to the South West is something that continues to challenge the direction of Ubuntu Food. It continues to influence and shape it in ways I didn't expect. But that's okay. That's exciting. That is life.

Life is about taking chances, and creating new opportunities for yourself. It's about creating new connections and communities in which we can learn from one another. Not living in the confines of what is comfortable or expected. But understanding that inspiration and experience comes when stepping up to the change and not wishing it away.

So for now I will continue to put myself out there, I will continue to learn and experience; like the dance of the fire that keeps me observing, understanding and adjusting. My focus is to stay true to the journey of learning and enjoying this process of facing a new fire as much as I enjoy the feast that comes at the end of it.
